Who are the Houston Frisbee Dogs?

TazGleanloch.jpg   Group Photo July 2008 reduced.jpg    about1.jpg

Welcome to the home page of the Houston Canine Frisbee Disc Club!

Established in 1991, our club is a group of individual pet owners that were looking to do something with their dogs.  Some joined after watching us at a charity demonstration, some got interested after seeing a local competition, but most simply wanted to learn how they could teach their dog how to FLY!!

Many that watch us wonder how they could teach their dogs basic sit and stay, much less how to flip in the air and catch a disc??  That is what the club is for.  We get together on a regular basis to train and exchange emails teaching each other and learning from out mistakes.  From the most basic tricks all the way to extreme flying, you too can learn how to build a Frisbee champ!

Like any sport, it takes pratice and its something you won't learn overnight.  But our "fun" doesn't take hours each day.  If you take 30 min to walk your dog, then you have plenty of time to work with your dogs.  You don't have to have a pure breed canine and you don't have to be an expert Frisbee thrower, but you do need the desire to play with your dog and have a great time!  Its all about fun and the entire family is welcome!

Click here to learn more and please explore this web site for more information.  We love the sport of Canine Frisbee and you will too!
