RESULTS FOR JULY 2011 

As the teams arrived at the field the rain began to fall for a brief time.  It was agreed that the club would meet for play day once a week if that was what it took to provoke the rain.  Despite the July heat, several teams showed up to warm up for the Reliant demos.  Pennie and Psych scored a whopping 23.5 points while Fred and Abby put up a respectable 9.5 points  Thanks to all those who came out to join us and we hope to see you next time.  A special thanks to Deb and Meghan for helping time and keep score!!  Here are the scores:

The weather warmed up and so did the dogs who are getting ready for next weekend's Quad/AWI Qualifier.  Unfortunately, the wind was pretty fierce and even the best dogs had a hard time with that.  Thanks to all those who came out to join us and we hope to see you next weekend.  Congrats to Pennie and Psych as well as Dakota who did great with both Deb and Shana!!  Here are the scores:

RESULTS FOR DECEMBER 2010 

 

This might have been the coldest play day we've had since, well, right around this time last year.  No snow though this year like we had in December last year.  It would be fun to play in the snow though.  A number of teams enjoyed the cool weather and playing in the wind which was pretty erratic this afternoon.  We are hoping the new teams continue to join us in January as we ring in the New Year.  Thanks to Pennie and Pres. LeRoy for a great disc throwing lesson too as an added bonus.  Here are the scores for the December series and we'll be looking forward to "leaping" into the New Year:

RESULTS FOR OCTOBER 2010 

 

Frisbee disc club league play returned to the field in Jersey Village Tonight with a brand new slate of players.  Eight brand new disc dog teams attended our October play day this afternoon and all were ready to get into the excitement of HCFDC action.  All of the new dogs that attended showed that they are ready to embark on the trail to disc dog fun and greatness so please come out and join us for Leage Play Day in the cooler fall months.  Here are the result for October and Congrats to Team Abby for taking the top spot at Jersey Village this afternoon.  We hope our new teams will join us at our upcoming demos and play days:

Our April 11, 2010 league play event was well attended with many club members coming from both near and far.  Steve and Brody even braved the 5 hour long trip from Baton Rogue to join us.  So those contemplating a similar sojurn to Houston in the name of canine disc action know it can be done. 

 

It was a nice day in JV this afternoon with a great deal of fun to go around for both dogs and humans.  HCFDC will continue to host league play days during the upcoming months as it starts to warm up.  A big thanks to all the folks who made this fun event happen.  Below are the result for April 11, 2010.  Check back often to discover the latest standings and join us for our next league event.  If you're a new member, or you are interested in joining the HCFDC, this is an excellent way to meet us and learn some of the fundamentals of the game.  Our next club league play day will be held on May 9, 2010 at Clark Henry Park in Jersey Village at 5 PM.

 

 

 RESULTS FOR APRIL 11, 2010

 

Congratulations to Mark McNitt and Jackson for being declared top scoring team at today's PlayDay scoring 11 points in their second round.  Mark Jennings and Mojo also scored an 11 point round as well, but a number of good teams scoring in double digits today despite slightly breezy and challenging conditions.
